Tommy Steele was in the fifties Great Brittan' s answer to Elvis Presley. He was the sunny boy for all girls and sang Rock' n' Roll as nobody else in Europe. This interview was recorded in 1964. Tommy Steele meanwhile had developed to a musical star and had the leading part in the Musical "Half A sixpence" at Cambridge Theater in London. The conversation goes round this performance, his hope to go to America, his plans as a Rhythm & Blues singer and his ambition, to play serious parts at theaters.
